Convenient hotel with good facilities and excellent breakfast

Good location with handy underground parking (at a fee). Lovely clean, spacious bedrooms - and staff supplied a cot for my youngest at no extra charge. Fantastic breakfast with lots of options including fresh crepes and a great selection of cheeses. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking was a little awkward - difficult to get out of the car park without scraping the bottom of the car due to steep incline on exit. Restaurant staff seemed a little unhappy about the presence of my young children in the evening - despite it being otherwise a very child-friendly hotel.

Reached expectations but don't park your E Type.

Very nice breakfast. We also liked the staff who were comfortable speaking in English and greeting us when we passed.

Coffee machines never do it for me and a good coffee in the morning is imperative. The underground car park is a problem as I bottomed my car out twice, so much for the new exhaust (Jaguar E Type), however whilst not moving it was safe.

Great location, within walking distance to city centre (max 10 min); spacious room as advertised, helpful staff and good choice for buffet breakfast, pets allowed.

Small downside: underground parking is very narrow (for an SUV)

Lovely staff

All the members of staff were excellent, friendly and helpfull. It is not far from the centre, easily walkable. Good breakfast too.

I was not impressed with their bedding. Duvet did not fit it's cover and it was not pleasant to sleep under, and there was 1 thin pillow. We used the decorative pillows too but they were small squares so it did not really work.

Clean, inviting, fairly close to old city.

Our room. Brown carpet when we walked in, looks old and outdated. Not a fan of carpets in hotel rooms. View was roof top and big white pipes and it was noisy. On main road.. I thought it was more in city centre.

Breakfast was great apart from the Ibis clients used the same room and it was like a free for all.

Refuse a room that is underneath the bar/restaurant, unless you only want to sleep between 0100 and 0500!

This should be a very nice hotel, but it’s possibly new and having some teething problems. Please see below for the issues. It was modern and well decorated, and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location is good and it’s less than five mins to walk to start of the historic centre. The cathedral is about another ten mins walk further. We were fortunate enough to be helped with all of our issues during our stay by Antionne, from reception, who went above and beyond to help solve any issues. He was superb. If it had not been for him, my ratings would have been lower, and possibly would have advised against staying here.

Our room hadn’t been cleaned very well, and on occasion neither were other areas of the hotel. Our room was very noisy as the restaurant was above this area of the hotel. This meant we didn’t sleep very well.

Lovely staff and nice big rooms

Super-friendly staff all the way through. The building is not new, but has been updated with taste and all is done to a good standard. Lovely big room and very comfy bed. Especially good with the dog, as there is some green space just behind the hotel and the dog bed fits easily in the room. Parking cost not excessive.

There was safe storage for our bikes. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean, modern and cool with the air conditioning.

The location was a little further from the train station than I thought.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The parking garage is very low. As we were on holiday with a roof box, we could not get into the parking!! Roof height mentioned was 1.95 but drops to 1.75 in places. You only discover that after entering!!

Literally a stopping point to Eurotunnel. Met all our needs for pet, food, parking and comfort.

Location for travelling to Eurotunnel was very good, with little to no detour. There was onsite parking, staff were friendly, food was good and the room was perfect. Would use again.

Leaving a tip at dinner was more difficult than it needed to be, otherwise no problems.

Good location for city centre but room location frustrating due to noise above.

Breakfast good, staff friendly

Restaurant directly above our room so chair scraping etc late into night and then again woken by chair scraping early morning. Carpark a nightmare for even a medium.size car. Larger one would be near impossible.
